I just tasted a sample size almond trail mix bar given the attendees of the NYC coffee and tea festival. I was reluctant to even try the sample bar expecting a cardboard texture and undefined, if any, sweetness. I kept the sample because I sell gift baskets featuring tea and tea products and keep my eye out for small, quality goodies to pair with tea in my gifts. I was very surprised and impressed with the bar. The sample did not have complete nutritional information listed, so I visited the website and found all the information I needed. The bar is moist and sweet. The almond taste is most enjoyable. I liked seeing and tasting the different sized pieces of fruits and seeds in the bar. The uneven size made me think someone actually handformed my treat with TLC. The cost is reasonable and I found I can buy them in Northern CA at Whole Foods, which is nearby. I liked the fact that the calorie count was not too high for the fiber and protein value. I am going to try these as a healthy snack when I am out and about and a meal is delayed. As far as using them in my gift baskets, it is looking good. I’ll have to experiment with the tea pairings….already see a great Keemun with the almond trail mix bar!
